Who we are

Our website address is: https://verifierlab.com and our legal name is Verifier Lab Ltd

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Terms of Sale

Definitions

Service

Any services offered for sale on this website

VAT

Value Added Tax

Buyer

The individual or organisation making the purchase

Background

The buyer agrees to purchase products specified during the checkout process, for the specified price, and shall be bound by the following terms.

Terms

Prices

Prices are subject to change from time to time. It is the buyer’s responsibility to keep up-to-date with any price changes.

Payment terms

The buyer is expected to pay for products before trade can take place, unless otherwise agreed in writing with Verifier Lab Ltd.

VAT

VAT is applied wherever applicable.

Returns and Refunds

All customers are eligible to the statutory ‘cooling-off’ period for online sales. This means, if you decide you no longer want the service(s) you ordered, for whatever reason, and provided you have not yet sent your product samples to our lab, we can arrange a full refund on your order.

Orders cancelled after samples have been sent to our lab, whether they have arrived at the lab or not, will be subject to a 25% cancellation fee.

Once the testing is actually underway in our lab, this constitutes delivery of the service (even if results have not yet been generated) and a refund cannot be issued at this stage.

Damaged/Missing Samples

In instances where samples sent to our lab go missing in the courier network, or are damaged to the point where testing cannot reliably be carried-out at our lab, it is the buyer’s responsibility to arrange another sample to be sent to our lab.

Accreditation

Where an accreditation subscription is purchased alongside testing, the same cancellation policy above applies to both the testing fees and the subscription fees.

If the sample(s) fail testing, then you will be invited to submit another sample (from a different batch) for re-testing (free-of-charge) on the failed test category.

If this sample also fails, you will be refunded for the subscription fee in full (and this will be cancelled for future periods, also), but test fees will remain non-refundable. We will not publicly publish the results of accreditation-linked testing, and will only ever deliver these privately to you/your organisation.

Accreditation testing and the subscription fee covers for 12 months of use of our accreditation mark/score. Retesting is required every 12 months – with an applicable test fee discount of 50% from current pricing – and subscriptions will be re-charged automatically, every 12 months.

Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time (in terms of preventing subsequent charges), but are non-refundable past the point of tests being performed for the period to which the subscription relates.

If a subscription is cancelled for subsequent periods/payments, you can remain using the Verifier Lab accreditation mark until the date of expiry on the current, active subscription. But must immediately cease use of the accreditation mark when the current, active subscription period expires (this includes immediately ceasing use on any current product packaging, websites, marketing materials, and other publicly-visible assets).

Publication of Test Results

All non-accreditation linked test submissions (by consumers) will have results published publicly in our database, accessible via verifierlab.com, and shared to our mailing list via email. There is no option for consumer-purchased test results to be held privately – we feel this helps us to achieve our goal of informing as many consumers as possible about reputable and safe supplement brands/products.

Accreditation-linked (commercial) test results will never be shared publicly, at least not without the express, written permission of the Buyer.
