We also offer a combined, comprehensive absorption test that brings the dissolution/rupture and disintegration testing together, for a discounted rate – giving you a test that determines the breakdown time of your food supplement, and the time it takes for the active ingredients to be released.

We then compare this to data that we hold regarding typical human digestion of food supplements, including transit times, and provide commentary on whether we believe your food supplement would be sufficiently absorbed when consumed.

ACCREDITATION

If your test is for commercial purposes ie for the purpose of gaining an accreditation mark for your product, and is not a consumer order, please ensure you purchase through the product listing marked ‘Accredited’ and not through this product listing.

This product listing is for non-accredited testing – primarily for consumers wanting to test the food supplements that they consume (or intend to consume), for retesting purposes (where supplements have attained accreditation in prior years), or ad-hoc commercial testing where accreditation is not wanted/required.

TESTING LIMITATIONS

Although this test provides insight on breakdown and dissolution timings, it cannot account for personalised nuances that can affect the actual absorption of the active ingredient in your own body – such as gut microflora, genetics, other dietary/lifestyle considerations, and much much more.

So whilst this test serves as a good high-level indicator of absorption potential, it doesn’t guarantee that your food supplement definitely will be absorbed fully by your own body.

It also does not consider the effectiveness of the active ingredient itself – so even if absorption potential is confirmed, and your personalised factors do not hinder absorption, if you are consuming a food supplement with little to no scientific evidence of efficacy, there is no guarantee that you will derive benefit from the food supplement you are consuming.

Results are delivered in digital format only, via detailed PDF reports displaying raw data alongside commentary to translate the raw data into more easily understandable terms, and to explain test parameters/methodology used.

Since this is a test not linked to an accreditation process, a summary version of the test results will also be published publicly in our results database, and shared with our email subscribers.
