But what we can calculate is the general timescale in which a given food supplement outer dissolves (or ruptures, in the case of softgels) and releases the active ingredient(s) – which can dictate whether or not the average person can digest and potentially absorb them before they pass through the human body.
Beyond this, we can also test for the time period in which the active ingredient(s) take to disintegrate and therefore become available for absorption.
Taking both of these measurements we can accurately predict the likelihood of any given food supplement being absorbed by the average human body.
